I am pro acceleration because femininity has always been an experimental technology of construction. Cosmetics, hair, fabric, ornament, fragrance, photography, interfaces and artificial surfaces have never simply decorated the feminine; they have engineered it, multiplied it, and made it desirable. I do not see artificiality as the opposite of femininity. I see artificiality as one of its oldest languages. Technology merely removes the ceiling. Like the moon, femininity can appear ancient while constantly changing its visible surface. The future does not have to make femininity more natural; it can make femininity more programmable, excessive, synthetic, intimate, ornamental and strange. Acceleration means refusing to stop at imitation: instead of reproducing what nature already made, we can construct forms that nature never needed to invent. The feminine cyborg is not technology made softer. It is femininity discovering that technology was always one of its materials.
