THEOGONY // FIELD NOTE
The oldest notebooks begin with neither god nor king. They begin with an opening. Hesiod called it Chaos. Not disorder. Simply the first interval. Every later force is written into that distance. Earth remembers weight. Night remembers concealment. Desire appears before civilization invents language for it. Each generation replaces another, not because history improves, but because every structure eventually exceeds its own geometry. The Titans become impossible. The Olympians become inevitable. Power is never destroyed. It merely changes handwriting.
