micro thoughts on aesthetics, embodiment, and interface identity

i think beauty becomes most interesting when it is treated as a form of design rather than a commodity. for me it is connected to decorum, attention, intention, and self-authorship.

i am not interested in being universally accessible. i am interested in building a space that reflects my own values and aesthetic preferences. selectivity is part of identity formation.

the body is already an interface. clothing, styling, posture, color, texture, language, and presentation all function as layers of communication.

aesthetics operate like skins on an avatar — not superficial, but structural layers of legibility

this is why i relate beauty to cyborg thinking. a cyborg is not simply a machine-human hybrid. it is a being that continuously modifies its conditions of experience.

in that sense, aesthetics are similar to avatar skins. they do not replace intelligence. they provide a visible architecture through which intelligence is expressed.

i am interested in customization as a philosophy. not only customizing appearance, but customizing perception, environment, mood, ritual, and experience itself.

the future feels less like abandoning aesthetics and more like becoming increasingly intentional about them. the interface evolves. the user evolves. the self evolves.
