REFLECTION

A quiet record of inner experience, symbolism, and discomfort— where belief, imagination, and conscience blur into meditation.

I once moved through ideas of power, devotion, and sacrifice as symbols rather than literal truths—forces I associated with domination, wealth, and shadowed spiritual systems across history.

In that space, I confronted the tension between fascination and unease: what it means to assign value to life, and how easily abstraction can distance us from compassion.

A moment I remember most clearly is the discomfort that arose when I participated in the ending of a small living creature’s life in the name of symbolic offering. The act did not feel sacred—it felt heavy, human, and unresolved.

That unease became the teacher. Not of belief systems, but of attention. Of consequence. Of what it means to be responsible for suffering, even in the smallest forms.

Over time, the meditation shifted: not toward worship of force or shadow, but toward awareness of choice— and the quiet question of what we justify, and what we refuse.

What do we offer our lives for, when no story is left to hide behind?
